Quick Details
We offer a variety of Jolly Dolphin boat tours, see descriptions of each cruise below:
This is the last scheduled daily dolphin cruise. Join us for the best part of the day as we cruise around, take in the sights and look for dolphins. A great time to be out, as the sun sinks toward the horizon and the air temperature cools. We typically cover a 20-mile round trip, passing by such sights as Fort Pickens, the Pensacola Lighthouse, and the Naval Air Station, depending on conditions, and where we find the dolphins. This cruise takes place on the Jolly Dolphin, located behind Shaggy’s Restaurant, and can accommodate up to 28 passengers.
On this trip, we will stop at one or two nearby snorkel spots in Pensacola Bay and Santa Rosa Sound. We will be snorkeling in shallow water, about 3-4 feet deep. The Captain and crew will assist guests with snorkel gear fitting, and get in the water with them to show them how and where to snorkel. The trip includes snorkel gear and instruction. For the beginner to the advanced snorkeler, there is plenty to see in the waters of the Pensacola Gulf Coast. While we do not have natural coral reefs as in the Caribbean and the Florida Keys, we do have our own special ecosystem, with a diversity of fish and marine life. On most of our Pensacola Beach snorkel trips, we may encounter up to twenty species.
This is a 2 Hour Dolphin Cruise and Scenic Bay Tour on Pensacola Bay on our 42′ powerboat tritoon passenger vessel, the Jolly Dolphin. We cover a 20-mile round trip, watching for dolphins, and other marine life, while passing by iconic Pensacola Beach landmarks, such as Fort Pickens, the Pensacola Naval Air Station, and the Pensacola Lighthouse. The tour takes place mostly in Pensacola Bay, though we may venture out into the pass, where the bay meets the Gulf of Mexico, depending on conditions.
Enjoy a discounted rate at the best time of the day for dolphin cruising, when the conditions are generally calmest on the bay. This is the same as our 2 Hour Dolphin Cruise, and is a great time to get out on the water, particularly in the warmer months. We cover 20 miles looking for dolphins, and pass by landmarks such as Fort Pickens, the Pensacola Lighthouse, and the Pensacola Naval Air Station. The cruise takes place in the waters of Pensacola Bay and the Santa Rosa Sound. Along the way we may spot shorebirds such as pelicans, cormorants, blue heron, and ospreys; schools of fish, rays and turtles. Beverages and snacks are included! Join us for this early morning expedition on the water!
